Think Ahead is run by a team of approachable, knowledgeable and dedicated professionals, who are always happy to listen and provide information on the services offered by the charity.

 Fran Holt, Administration & Financial Support Officer

Fran is the newest recruit to Think Ahead’s team. She supports the Executive Manager in providing administrative support for all the charity’s operational programmes and projects. Fran also supports the Treasurer and Executive Manager in undertaking all aspects of financial administration duties, to comply with charitable and company law and ensure that the organisation is well-resourced and effective.

 Elaine Lunn, Activities and Volunteer Co-ordinator

Elaine joined the team in April 2016. She organises a range of social, educational and practical activities that are beneficial for stroke survivors and those who care for them. Elaine is also responsible for recruiting and supervising volunteers to help support these activities.

Sue Rimmer, Stroke Support Development Worker

Sue has been with Think Ahead since May 2016.  She develops and co-ordinates our stroke support programme, to ensure that the demand from stroke survivors and those who care for them is met. Sue works closely with our existing volunteer stroke supporters and buddies, as well as recruiting and training new volunteers onto this vital programme. 

Carol Sankey, Executive Manager

Carol joined Think Ahead in 2006. She now takes lead responsibility for strategically planning, co-ordinating and developing an innovative, professional and effective service for stroke survivors and those who care for them, ensuring that this is in line with the organisation’s constitution and vision. Carol works closely with the Board of Trustees to identify new service opportunities, develop partnerships and identify new income streams to ensure the future viability of Think Ahead.

Mary Williams, Administration Support Worker

Mary began her time with Think Ahead as a volunteer, supporting some of our practical and social activities. She has been employed in her current role for a number of years and provides general administrative support for the organisation’s operational programmes and projects. Mary shares responsibility for a range of general administrative duties, to make sure that the organisation runs smoothly, efficiently and effectively at all times.
