Groups and activities

Our social events, activity groups and trips give stroke survivors and those who care for them a chance to have fun, learn skills and meet new people. The programme has been designed to help with recovery by improving self-esteem and building confidence, as well as overcoming the social isolation faced by many following the trauma of stroke.

Our volunteers and staff work hard to provide a varied programme of entertainment at our group meetings throughout the year, as well as organising days out to a wide range of local attractions. We provide a door-to-door service, transporting our members from their homes to social activities.

We also hold weekly or fortnightly arts and crafts classes to appeal to the different interests of our members. We are always open to new ideas for activity groups and would also love to hear from anyone who would like to volunteer to help or instruct.
