  • What Causes Stroke

    A stroke is an attack on the brain and takes place when the blood supply is disrupted, either by a blockage or a burst. In the UK, a stroke occurs approximately every three minutes and 27 seconds. 1 in 4 strokes are fatal within a year, making stroke one of the leading causes of death for both men and women.
