At 1.00pm on the first and third Thursday of each month we have a meeting at St Mary’s Church Hall, Lower Ince and this is a good opportunity for members to meet old friends and new! The atmosphere is always very friendly, informal and relaxed with tea and biscuits etc and it is a good opportunity to find out what is currently happening within our Group.
First Thursday of the month – Although this meeting is generally thought to be a good time for everyone to catch-up with friends we do also, on occasions have other activities like Quizzes/Bingo and this year we celebrated our first meeting of the New Year with a Hot Pot Lunch and have enjoyed Easter celebrations with lots of hot-x-buns and Prize Draw. Of course, we could not just let Summer go by unnoticed and members have enjoyed an Afternoon Cream Tea and Prize Quiz and there are lots of other future events planned throughout the year. The Charity also runs a Bonus Ball competition and this is the time that contributions are paid and the lucky few receive their winnings! This meeting also gives us the opportunity to finalise the arrangements for the next outing.
Second Thursday of the month – Each month the Trips Working Group carefully plan and organise an outing for this day.
Third Thursday of the month - At this Meeting there is a Guest Speaker and during the year we are fortunate to be joined by many local people with special
interest subjects along with representatives from local services/authorities:

We have also been joined by Mayors both past and present that have shared some wonderful memories with us of their time in Office.
At this meeting details for the next outing will be given and this gives members the opportunity to discuss the outing with the Working Group organisers and ensure that all your needs are going to be met and your transport is reserved.
Transport – We do have limited transport available for those members who have difficulty in arranging their own transport for meetings and outings and we
may be able to offer a door to door service for both the Stroke Survivor and their Carer. Community Transport minibuses are driven by regular qualified volunteer drivers and they have excellent disabled access facilities and are able to accommodate mobility aids for eg zimmer frames / folding and electric
wheelchairs / scooters etc.
Working Group Meetings – Members of these Working Groups meet regularly at the Office to discuss how the general functions of the Group work. These meetings are held in a very relaxed, informal and friendly atmosphere and new members are always encouraged and made to feel welcome.
