Buy a festive bow and help a local charity this Christmas

For the third year running Christmas shoppers can show their support for local Stroke awareness charity, Think Ahead Stroke Group, by buying a bow to put on the Christmas tree in Wigan Market Hall
In the New Year all the bows will be entered into a prize draw with the chance to win a hamper full of goodies.

The bows cost £1 each, with all the proceeds going towards helping Think Ahead provide a community of support for Stroke Survivors, their carers and families, across Wigan and Leigh  and the surrounding areas.

Think Ahead is a local Stroke awareness charity and through its unique long term “Living With Stroke” programme offers Stroke Survivors, their carers and families, across Wigan, Leigh and the borough, help and support to improve the quality of their lives by providing friendship, information, advice, support and education, together with opportunities for interaction with other members by organising outings, respite breaks and appropriate social activities.

Think Ahead’s Chairman, Mike Aspinall, said: “This is the third year that Think Ahead has been chosen as the Market Hall Christmas bow charity, and we would like to thank Wigan Council’s Town Centre and Markets Management for giving us the opportunity to do something special this Christmas to raise funds and Stroke awareness in the community.”
Mike continues: “There are so many more people in Wigan and Leigh that we could be helping, it’s just a matter of reaching them, and this is a brilliant way of spreading the word and having a bit of festive fun and we are very grateful for everyone’s support.”
