Dear Think Ahead, Congratulations on your 10th birthday! Here's to the next 10 yrs - I hope you continue to grow stronger.
My parents have been attending your Hindley group since my mum suffered a brain haemorrhage in 2009, they have also enjoyed outings too and have felt supported by the lovely positive people they have met there - many thanks!

Dear Everyone at Think Ahead.
What a ten year do you gave us. We know you worked so hard. Alfred and I will always remember how well you looked after us all.
Love from Margaret.

We joined the group soon after my wife Margot had a stroke in 2003. We were made really welcome by all the members and soon made lots of friends. Margot really enjoyed the respite breaks and the days out. Unfortunately, Margot died in June.

I have been a member now for many years. I enjoy being able to call in at the office for a cup of tea, a biscuit and a chat.

i think it was Elaine who first spoke to me about my mother, Beatrice Lowe, attending the Stroke Group. i was at mum's bungalow trying to sort out her belongings ready for her move to a Residential Home. She accepted the offer and was a regular attendee for several years. As her mobility decreased i began to bring her to the meetings and outings which we both thoroughly enjoyed. As my own health deteriorated, I had problems getting Mum into the car, but the girls at the Home, and usually Neville, helped to get her in and out of my car. In June 2009 she was admitted to Wigan Infirmary suffering from dehydration and susequently went into Croft House at Bedford Nursing Home. i would like to express my thanks for the pleasure and the kindness we experienced together and I hope to be able to help in some way in the near future.

I had my stroke on 1st May 2003 whilst at work. I was in Bolton hospital for exactly one month. Elaine Pye put me in touch with Think Ahead and it has been brilliant for me. I have made lots of new friends and everyone seems to enjoy themselves. You never see a glum face and if anyone feels a bit down, there are lots of friends and aquaintances to cheer them up. I can't thank Think Ahead enough and congratulate you on your 10th Anniversary.

I would like to wish Think Ahead a big Happy Birthday, without you I would not be the person I am today. The group has been an inspiration to me after my stroke in Feburary 2009. I have had such fun being part of the group, I hope others have had the same experience as myself.

I would like to wish Think Ahead all the best for their 10th Anniversary. I have found the group a great place to meet and make new friends. I don't know what I would do without the support of the group. Thank you to everyone involved.
